Curling a URL - RESOLVED? (I think)

I desperately need to learn how to “Curl this URL to fetch results” - can anyone point me to a tutorial? I’ve looked at a dozen pages that Google has pointed me to, but I’m as lost (maybe more so) now than before I started looking.

I’ve long owned @willwood’s free Embed stack. I noticed that it includes a whole bunch of different types of things that can be embedded - including PHP Echo and PHP Curl. I entered the string above, added Reputation’s css to the header, and all seems to be working fine, as seen here (click the “Review” tab).
