New release of Image Fit Stack - added image filters and drop-shadow support for images with transparency

Hello everyone

I pushed out a major update of the Image Fit Stack! It’s still very lean, but mean! Here are some details

Image Fit can accept 4 types of images: drag & drop images, including the new Stacks 4.x site images as well as image well and warehoused images.

Images can be resized to exact dimensions, aligned left, center or right. The responsive behavior of the images can be set in order to best fit into to those chosen dimension: Fill, Cover, Contain and Scale down.

Additionally images can be rotated, scaled, skewed, moved ad animated without and Javascript.

They can be set as clickable links and the z-index can also be set.

Should the update show in auto update in Stacks??? Am on 1.0.7 not showing an update??

Yes it should, try manually checking for updates.

Please let me know if you are still having issues.

Hi Ricardo…yes I am…tried a few times with manual update - nothing, still on 1.0.7. Is anyone else having a similar problem?? Mind you if they don’t know there is an update they don’t know they cant get it!! Only reason I know is through RW4all…

Auto update via RW didn’t work for me.
Had to DL it via my first purchase.
On version 1.0.8 now

@Piggles, @robertreinink

I have fixed the self update issue, on the server. Please try again.
Thanks,

Ricardo

It works - thank you!!

I just pushed another major update for Image Fit, now version 1.1.0 (change log below)

v1.1.0 (31 Dec 2019)

  • Added “draggable” support for Dropper Stack
  • Added max size and force size options
  • Many CSS code improvements and optimizations
  • Changed overflow logic to default to “visible”

v1.0.9 (21 Dec 2019)

  • Added option to override default ID

Even though it has been ready for about a month, I held it’s release until its new companion stacks were ready to be released… and today they are. These new stacks are called DROPPER and IMAGE REPLACER, I will have a separate post for them soon. Meanwhile, check our website:

Hello everyone,

Version 1.2.0 of Image Fit stacks is released. It brings a lot of new features, such as 3D-rotation with perspective, better control of overflow (not just within transformations), additional effects on hover, improved shadows, and much more. The Image Fit stack remains extremely lightweight, you can use Image Fit in place of any Image Stack and keep your site lean, while using great image effects where needed. In its default mode it is as lean as the built-in image stack.

Hello everyone,

Just pushed a new release of Image Fit, now version 1.2.2, adding drop-shadows support and filters and other code improvements. With drop shadow support, now images with transparencies will display a shadow of the non-transparent area, such as in this transparent PNG image below:
