Is there a way to have Repository send an automatic email to a USER when the ADMIN uploads a client to their folder/group?
No, at least not by Repository.
@zamboknee I think there is a way. Within Repository you can ask it to send emails for file uploads (it’s one of the options). That gets sent as an email with minimal information … just the name of the file uploaded and a pre-specified subject line for all uploads. So I can include a user, plus myself (admin). I’ve done this with small groups so everyone gets the notification.
… however your question as written is a bit ambiguous to me so perhaps I’m not answering your real question. Specifically I don’t know what you mean by: email to a USER when the ADMIN uploads a client to their folder/group?
So I’d (admin) like to upload a file to a client’s folder/group. When that file is uploaded there I’d like an email to be dispatched to the client’s email saying something basic like ‘File A has been uploaded for you.’
You’re using UserAccess Stack integration ?
No way to do that. But they do get an email with:
- subject line (as prescribed by you) … but it will be same subject line for all similar emails
- just the name of the file uploaded
… but using subject line smartly I think you can accomplish what you want. See image below:
I should add that I’m using Sitelok integration … maybe works different in other cases.
yes
Then in theory this would be possible, because I know who is admin, and in which folder an upload took place.
Unfortunately this functionality isn’t implemented.
