Search for a client image upload service

How much space do you need though? There are loads of really cheap servers out there. Most are shit, but for a simple drop file system they’d do.

Just looked and 123-Reg have unlimited space for £4 a month.

From my experience when you provide a facility to upload images to a web site, the amount uploaded can become huge over time. The images don’t need to remain on the server once that have been downloaded, so Jannis’ solution is a clever one.

I will work on that.

I’ve used Filemail for several years for both upload and download needs and have no complaints. People comment on it being very user friendly. I typically have several terabytes of transfers a month (they use Amazon S3). You can configure it to use password protection and can set how long files are retained. Here is my upload page that is integrated into my website: LINK

I’ve done this before using the Dispatch S3 Stack. You can create a lifecycle policy so that files are automatically deleted from the bucket after a set number of days.
