Set the width and maximum width of the image in Image Plus

I set Image Plus in avif format with fallback, the images I have on the page are of different sizes in width.
I have a problem that I can’t solve, I would like image plus to set a maximum width to images based on the display device, ipad, iphone, descktop etc…
I tried a container plus set in the custom width but it doesn’t work as I expected, the result is only a shift to the right of the total value divided by 2 minus the value I set … example if I set the width as 10% I only find the image avif shifted right by (100% : 2) - 10% or 40% shifted right roughly.
I do not understand.
How can I set the width and maximum width of the image in Image Plus?

I found that it could be solved with custom attribute example width=“500”.
But it is very inconvenient for each image to set only one length without considering the device.

Container Plus should do what you are describing in terms of limiting the width at different breakpoints. I can’t quite follow your description of the issue but if you message me a demo showing the issue I can take a look.

Thanks to Stuart for the help,
I removed all instances of image plus from the page and put them new, then inserting the links to the avif files.
Now everything is fine.
