Link to connect to a wifi network

One of my customers has asked me to make a link on his website that connects to his Wi-Fi network. As far as I can see, this is not possible, which is very understandable in terms of security. Does anyone know a method that can do this? Apart from a QR code, of course.

Nope, nothing apart from a QR code as you said.

All you would need to do is find the WiFi router login URL for his router which will be something like:

192.168.1.1

He will find this on the back of his router.

Then use 192.168.1.1 for the URL for a button or link.

192.168.1.1 could be made in a QR.

Then when he is using his web site when connected to his router, this will work.

Why he would want this on a web site is however, beyond my comprehension.

@StacksWeaver should be no QR code 😉

Once your create the qr code you can scan it and get the link generated and put that on your website…

I don’t see that there is a link which can be inserted in a browser which allows to connect to the network. The camera app itself will trigger the connection to the Wi-Fi hotspot. Or do I miss something here?
