Hejsan Stuart, sorry to be a nuisance yet again :-) Is it possible to make an overlay over the parallaxer stack?

Not currently @Kent but Parallaxer is overdue an update so will have a look at adding that. In the meantime you might be easiest just editing the image to add an overlay outside of RW.
